The Company
We’re partnering with a growing technology consultancy based in Leeds that’s built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke software solutions to clients across a variety of industries. With a team of around 20 people, they pride themselves on combining technical expertise with a genuinely collaborative and supportive culture.
As the business continues to grow, they’re looking to hire a Mid-Level .NET Developer. You will be reporting directly to the Lead Developer and play an important role in delivering high-quality software while working on a range of interesting client projects.
One of the most exciting aspects of this opportunity is the company’s commitment to investing in emerging technologies. While commercial experience with cloud platforms and AI isn’t essential, they’re keen to bring in someone who’s eager to learn and develop in these areas, with plenty of support, training and hands-on project exposure.
You’ll also have the opportunity to support and mentor an Apprentice Developer, making this an ideal next step for someone looking to take on a little more responsibility while continuing to grow technically.
The Role
As a Mid-Level .NET Developer, you’ll work alongside experienced developers to design, build and maintain modern software applications for a diverse client base.
You’ll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, contributing to technical discussions, delivering new functionality and ensuring applications are built to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET
- Building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Working on modern .NET Core applications and backend services
- Collaborating with the Lead Developer on technical design and solution delivery
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Working with SQL and MySQL databases
- Using Entity Framework where appropriate to manage data access
- Writing unit tests to maintain code quality and reliability
- Participating in code reviews and Agile ceremonies
- Supporting and mentoring an Apprentice Developer on day-to-day development tasks
- Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Learning and adopting modern cloud technologies and AI tools as part of ongoing project delivery
What They’re Looking For
Essential Skills
- Commercial experience developing applications with C# and .NET
- Experience with .NET Core / .NET
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with MySQL
- Understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience writing unit tests
- Good understanding of source control using Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Entity Framework
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- An interest in AI technologies and how they can be applied within software development
- Experience working within a consultancy environment
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Docker or containerisation
